Rise and Walk: Authority to Heal and Forgive | Matthew 9:1-8 | (Part 3)

I want Christians in the Church to come back to recognising the Power that God has. I want the Church to come back to the simplicity of faith that those men had when they brought the paralysed man to Jesus, and Jesus saw their faith! 
For me, the greatest gift of the Holy Spirit is a supernatural faith IN JESUS, IN THE POWER OF GOD – TO FORGIVE SIN and to give us authority over ALL THE POWER OF THE DEVIL – here ON EARTH.
I haven’t got time to die. I want to continue on in my ministry because I want to demonstrate WHO JESUS IS. I want to demonstrate the Power of God in our world TODAY. I want to show – THIS IS GOD! And I want YOU to see answers to your prayers. God bless you.

Rise and Walk: Authority to Heal and Forgive | Matthew 9:1-8 | (Part 2)

Your faith HAS to be that God will work the miracle.
What am I saying? Jesus Himself linked salvation and healing when He asked, “Which is easier, to say your sin is forgiven, or to say, get up and walk?!” ONLY God can forgive sin, only God can heal. But salvation is a miracle MORE IMPORTANT than the healing. 
When Jesus told the sick man, “Get up and walk” He did not simply demonstrate His Power to heal, but through the healing He was demonstrating His Power to forgive sin, and that ONLY through Him can forgiveness of sin and salvation come! The Bible is clear, there is no other name under Heaven by which we may be saved, except through the Name of Jesus.

At the beginning of Matthew 9, Jesus crosses over the Sea of Galilee, and enters His own town Nazareth. Nazareth had a bad reputation. Remember, Philip, who came from nearby Bethsaida, as did Andrew and Peter, when he found his friend Nathaneal, told him, “We’ve found the one Moses wrote about, about whom the prophets also wrote – Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph!” But Nathaneal’s sarcastic reply was, “Can anything good come from there?!” So, to be called Jesus of Nazareth was not complimentary! Of course, the name ‘Jesus or Yeshua’ was very common in Israel, so to be called Jesus of Nazareth, son of Joseph, identified who He was and where He came from. But Nazareth itself seems to have been known for being a hot bed of troublemakers. People from there were definitely regarded as tending to be rebellious!
Some men brought to Jesus a paralysed man on a bed and put him down in front of Him. When Jesus saw their faith – notice, it was not the faith of the paralysed man that He saw, but when Jesus saw the faith of the men who brought him – He said to the paralysed man, “Take heart, rejoice, cheer up – your sin is forgiven.” Jesus does not heal the man as they expected, but He dealt with the most important thing FIRST. Because the most important thing is the sin question. 

Harassed and helpless | Matthew 9&10 | (Part 3)

It is the miracles that prove who Jesus is! There are so many religions in the world, some of them are growing faster than Christianity. But there is no other religion, no other Gospel about a God who loves us so much, that He sent His Son to die for us – and works miracles today to prove it.
Jesus called His Disciples saying, “The harvest is plentiful, the workers are few – go out, preach the Kingdom, tell them the Kingdom of God is near – heal the sick and raise the dead!” We need to get back to the simplicity of this Gospel!
This is the challenge to us. This is the commission. This is the message we are called by God to give to a people who are harassed and helpless today! God bless you.

Harassed and helpless | Matthew 9&10 | (Part 2)

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.
These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John; Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.
These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. (Matthew 9.37-10.6, NIV)

Thank you for your much-needed prayers. I am just back from Kyiv, Ukraine, and before that, with just 2 days in the office in between, I was in Kazakhstan.
We arrived in Kyiv late on the night of 3 July. An air raid alarm was in place. As we went to bed after midnight the biggest Russian air assault yet – Kyiv the main target – rained down on us: 539 Shahed drones, 1 Kinzhal missile, 6 ballistic missiles, 4 cruise missiles. Our house shook. Kyiv woke to smoke and debris. I was glad I was there to experience with the people of Ukraine what it is like when Putin tries to bring down hell on an innocent nation.

Harassed and helpless | Matthew 9&10 | (Part 1)

In Matthew 9.27, two blind men call out, ‘Jesus, Son of David, help us!” Blind! They wanted to see! Jesus asks them, “Do you believe I am able to do this? Do you believe I am able to heal you?” – “Yes!” Jesus then touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith it will be done to you.” And their sight was restored.
The news spread all over. They brought a man to Jesus who couldn’t talk, demon possessed. When Jesus drove the demon out and the man began to speak, the people were amazed – they’d never seen anything like this before! But the religious Pharisees accused Jesus, saying He, Jesus, was possessed by the devil himself, casting out demons by the power of the prince of demons…
But Jesus continued through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues. It was His custom to worship in the synagogue, and this was an opportunity for Him to expound prophecy – of which He is the fulfilment. He had not yet called and empowered the Twelve. He was on His own, healing every disease and sickness, teaching, and preaching the Gospel, the ‘good news of the Kingdom’ – HIS Coming Kingdom, the Kingdom of God.

The grace of God offers salvation to all | Titus Bible Study | Chapter 2 | (Part 3)

You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them, and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Saviour attractive.
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you. (Titus 2.1-15, NIV)

Holy Ghost Encounter: Celebrating 75 Years in Ministry | Highlights from 12 July 2025, London

On 12 July a capacity crowd filled the Emmanuel Centre, London, for a Holy Ghost Impartation service, celebrating 75 years of David Hathaway’s ministry. 
With anointed worship led by Lara Martin and Steve and Velveta Thompson, plus an incredible video performance of My Tribute (To God be the Glory) as recorded by Vinesong for David's 70th anniversary celebration; powerful prayer led by Evangelist Daniel Chand and Tim Vince; and a moving video compilation of David Hathaway’s ministry as filmed over the years; then as David spoke, the Holy Spirit came down in power. Healings – anointing – and a powerful spiritual challenge. The Power of God today is stronger now than even in the days of the Bible – his life is a witness to the ‘greater miracles’ Jesus prophesied. 
David says: “All my life I set out to prove who Jesus is, to prove His power, to prove His authority. My life has been a demonstration of the truth, the effectiveness and the Power of the Word of God. Now, aged 93, I have not reached the limits of God’s Power HERE, ON EARTH! But the faith driving me is not in my head, it’s in my heart. I want to share this passion with you.”

Doing good for the sake of the Gospel | Titus Bible Study | Chapter 1 | (Part 2)

For there are many rebellious people, full of meaningless talk and deception, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach – and that for the sake of dishonest gain. One of Crete’s own prophets has said it: ‘Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.’ This saying is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the merely human commands of those who reject the truth. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.

Faith, Truth & Leadership | Titus Bible Study | Chapter 1 | (Part 1)

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ to further the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness – in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Saviour,
To Titus, my true son in our common faith:
Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.
The reason I left you in Crete was that you might put in order what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you. An elder must be blameless, faithful to his wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. Since an overseer manages God’s household, he must be blameless – not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. (Titus 1.1-7, NIV)

Intercepted by Grace: Prayer in Wartime Kyiv | Ukraine Ministry Report July 2025

On Saturday 5 July we went ahead with our annual prayer for Ukraine - to bring an end to the war - in the October Palace situated in the Government District of Kyiv. The prestigious venue was filled to the rafters, not a spare seat anywhere. But only 30 minutes into the prayer our organiser Vadim was told the air alarm had sounded, two hypersonic missiles were on their way, and he must close the event. If not, if anything happened, Vadim would be criminally accountable. Only by the grace of God, both missiles were intercepted and the prayer continued without a break.

In Light of His Coming | 2 Peter 3 Bible Study | (Part 9)

Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever! Amen. (2 Peter 3.11-18, NIV)

The Fire and the Promise | 2 Peter 3 Bible Study | (Part 8)

They deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives. (2 Peter 3.5-11, NIV)

Revival is coming! | Kazakhstan Ministry report June 2025

In Kazakhstan we are witnessing a move of God built on the courage, perseverance and faithfulness of men and women who saw the great revival of the 1990s and early 2000s (when communism first collapsed), and who have survived 20 years of persecution since – lies, libels, confiscation of church properties, arrests and court cases. But we all sense, this new move of God will be greater than that first great revival! The leadership told David, “A second wave of revival is coming. It cannot now be stopped. Your renewed investment in ministry here in recent years is a sign for us! Last time you came, we saw a ‘cloud the size of a man’s hand’. Now we know, HEAVY RAIN IS COMING! Like Elijah, we must get up and run with it!”

The Promise of His Coming | 2 Peter 3 Bible Study | (Part 7

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Saviour through your apostles.
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, ‘Where is this “coming” he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.’ But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.
