You can't have a miracle without a problem! If the boat had not been in a storm on the sea, there would have been no miracle with Jesus walking on the water. If you want to see miracles, God is going to use your problem, your difficulty, your crisis, in order to work the miracle. That crisis you have - that sickness, that cancer, that arthritis, that financial problem - God will use this to create a miracle.

In the middle of the storm, Jesus began to walk on the water towards the disciples. Notice the time! Time with God is so important. If only you and I knew the time God has chosen, what a difference it would make to our lives! It is so significant that when Jesus is walking towards the disciples in that storm-tossed ship, the time He chooses is the darkest hour, when the storm is at its highest. But Jesus is there, walking towards them.

Don't be like the children of Israel who saw the Promised Land but never entered. Look at the blessings. Claim them for yourself. They are yours for the taking.

We must prevail in prayer until God answers. Many are seeking power from God, but what is even greater is power with God. In Genesis 32.28, we have the story of how Jacob wrestled with God all night. At the end, God turned to Jacob and said, "As a prince, you have power with God and with man and have prevailed!"

I know Jesus is alive, I talked with Him this morning. The reality of our relationship with Christ is in knowing Him. I talk to Him, He talks to me. Receiving my healing from throat cancer many years ago led me into a more positive experience in my Christian life: the realisation that if God says it in His Word then He will always do it!

'And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.' What a miracle, under the rules of the Temple, Jews had to continually make sacrifices to atone for their sins, but the Bible says Jesus died once to forgive the sins of the world and set us free! God sent His Son Jesus to redeem you and I; and God glorified Jesus by doing this.

I want to declare the glory of Jesus. Put your faith in Him. He has Power to heal, deliver and set you free. As you turn to Jesus, He'll fill you with unspeakable joy. When Peter healed the lame man outside the temple in Acts 3, the man was so full of joy, he began leaping and praising God: God can do the same for you.

What joy, what rejoicing, awaits those who receive the victory of the Lord. Peter and John were on their way into the Temple to pray, when a lame man called out for help. Peter, unable to give money, gave something of greater value, he reached out his hand, pulled the lame man up, and as he did so, the man arose, completely healed!

There are many times in our lives when we need to cry out, "help!" And when you do, Jesus is there listening to your cry. The Bible says Jesus hears every cry from your heart; when you are in pain, when you are in difficulty, if you will cry out, "Jesus help me", He will answer you. Even if its a silent cry from your heart, God hears you, He will answer.

I know this, God always answers prayer. I believe it is so significant that when Jesus is walking towards the disciples in that storm-tossed ship, He chose the darkest, the most dangerous point of the night. Jesus is walking towards you; you might not be able to see Him because of all the problems surrounding you, but He is there. Call upon His Name. He'll answer and deliver you.

There are many things we are unable to change; whatever we do or try, some circumstances can't be changed by human power alone. But suddenly, when Jesus speaks, everything changes for the better. 'Jesus got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The disciples were amazed and asked, "What kind of Man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!"'

The disciples marvelled at Jesus, "What kind of Man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey Him!" Despite all the miracles they had witnessed, something happened that one day which completely astonished them. We too need to discover the reality of who Jesus really is; He has power to completely change our lives.
