Looking back over my life, I can see that God had a plan, He orchestrated each event; and even though at the time it didn't always make sense, God brought good out of it all, to bring salvation to many.

I was sentenced to years in prison for Bible smuggling; when I had no food, I learnt how to pray; when I had no friends, I learnt how to pray; when I had no Bible, I learnt how to pray. I learnt how to talk to God in that prison. He was nearer to me in that prison than at any time before. Jesus was so near. He is friend! I know Him. I love Him! Hallelujah!

Jesus always knows in advance what is going to happen. And on this occasion, He felt the need to go alone to pray. - It is wonderful to pray together as a body of believers, but to receive strength for each day we need to be alone with God in prayer.

I believe in life after death. The Scripture teaches that death is not the end, it is only a beginning, it is the path to life eternal. There is a resurrection of the dead! The Apostle Paul taught, 'If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead!'

I want to challenge you out into the deep waters with Jesus. Don't be content on the shore watching with the crowds from a distance, venture out into the deep. Make a determined effort to experience the power of God yourself; but it only comes when you go out into the deep waters with Jesus. When Jesus told Peter to let down his net, he didn't want to do it, and he had good reason not to. Peter was an expert fisherman; he knew the waters, the fish. However, he did what the Lord said to do despite his own experience and knowledge; and the results were far better than anything he could have ever imagined! The same blessings await you when you obey the Word of the Lord.
