'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you' (Acts 1.8). Our power from God is through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and then through our relationship with God in prayer following that experience. The clear promise is that HIS power would be in US. Also that we would become witnesses. A witness is one who sees something and reports on it. We need to see, experience and witness God's miraculous power in action! Not merely by sitting and waiting, but by making it happen through the power of God. To me, it seems that the older I become the more powerful God is, yet it is not God who changes, but me, He reveals more of His glory as I seek after Him.

God is moving by the Power of the Holy Spirit (with Vinesong)

My God is the greatest and most powerful God in all the world and He is about to work the greatest miracles of all time. Yes, we are about to write the sequel to the Acts of the Apostles - yes, we are about to see the fulfilment of the Book of Revelation. And let me shout this loud enough to wake even the dead and bring Elijah back - Jesus is coming soon! I want you to know that, as for me, I believe the Book - 'in the last days I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh says the Lord' - Joel 2.28. I personally am ready to go. I am fired up, filled up, powered up, on my feet, ticket and sword in my hand, ready to go now. No power on earth or from hell can stop me. I'm not too old, too poor, too tired, too weak or ready to quit! If God could use Moses, David, Elijah, He can use me. I have the same Holy Spirit power they had, I believe in the same God, and I am already filled with revival fire. No more waiting - the urgency of the crisis is call enough - I have already seen the power of God in action, received a ten-fold more powerful anointing, preached the Gospel, won the lost and dying, healed the sick...! We must get back to the authority of the Bible. When God answers, He does it by a miracle. The only real evidence of the reality of God that I find in my Bible is the miraculous.

The power of God to deliver (with Vinesong)

'I have surely seen the affliction of My people, and have heard their cry; I know their sorrows; and I am come down to deliver' (Exodus 3:7-8). When I had lung cancer, who did I call, who could I go to for help, I went to the Lord. He was the only one who could deliver me from my sickness. I've seen the power of God to deliver; yes, He has healed me twice of cancer, freed me from a communist prison, but I have also seen Him deliver men from the power of sin. I once preached in a Siberian prison to all 1400 inmates, desperate men: 200 multiple murderers, 400 serious sex offenders and 800 even worse criminals. The commandant said he was an atheist, that God could not change these men, that I was wasting my time. But, faced with the crisis of this challenge, the Holy Spirit came on me and God transformed the prison that day. All 1400 criminals repented and 140 of those convicts are now pastors, some of the best evangelists in Russia today were saved that day in that place!

God changed my life (with Vinesong)

God changed my life; I realised He had done what He promised, God had filled me with a new fire and passion. After my first visit to Jerusalem in 1961 I became a missionary to Israel, coming up to eight times a year, bringing tourists. In order to get to Jerusalem I had to go behind the Iron Curtain, through communist countries, and God opened my eyes to a new vision. In 1964, only three and a half years after my first visit to Jerusalem, I discovered I had throat cancer. I went to the Word of God for my healing. The Bible is the most powerful book in the world! All the power and authority that God has is revealed in His Word! After three months of praying and believing, I went to the hospital where they confirmed that God had worked a miracle; God had cut my cancer out as with a knife. In 1961, I went to Jerusalem wanting a new anointing, a new fire - three and a half years later I got what I sought when He healed my cancer.

Meet with Jesus (with Vinesong)

All my life I have been desperate to meet with Jesus, to see His power and glory here on earth. Why did I first go to Russia, why do I have the ministry I have today? My first visit behind the Iron Curtain was over 50 years ago. I was an evangelist, a pastor in England, yet I had seen how the church had lost the anointing, lost the power. I was determined that I would have an experience with God that was incorruptible, that would last until the appearing of Christ. When you meet with Jesus, when His fire comes into you, you become a changed person: from a powerless individual into a mighty man of God.

Give God Everything (with Vinesong)

When we give God everything, He fills us with His Spirit; it becomes a tangible presence in our lives. But to receive this anointing we have to surrender everything first, so that God can fill us with all His power and glory. When I was a child, God didn't call me as an evangelist, pastor or missionary, He asked for everything, a life fully surrendered to His purposes. - God asks the same of you; will you surrender everything to God so that He can give you the gift of His Spirit?

The Power of God (with Vinesong)

I was so excited when I read in Leviticus 6.13 that when the priests lit the fire they were told it must never go out! I received the fire of God when I was 13 and it has never gone out! I’ve seen too many people who allow the fire to fade, but if the fire is from God, the command is that you must not let it go out!

You shall be witnesses

We must be witnesses to the power of God! In Acts 1 Jesus said to His disciples, "After the Holy Spirit has come upon you, YOU will receive POWER and YOU will be MY WITNESSES." In law, a witness is someone who has seen or experienced an event personally; you can't be a witness if you haven't experienced the event in question. It is the same with God, you can only be a witness to the power of God if you have experienced His power personally. We need to become witnesses. Cry out to God, ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Once you have had this revelation of who Jesus is, then you can become His witness.

I want to see Jesus

My heart's one desire is to see Jesus, to experience His Glory here on earth. All through my early days, before I became a pastor, an evangelist, all the time I was growing up, when I was in school, when I was in church, Psalm 63:1-2 was the most important verse in my whole life! I said what David said, "Oh God, You are my God, I will seek for You from the early part of my life, I will search You out, Oh God, wherever You are, in Heaven, on earth, I will search for You, Oh God! I want to know who You are, I want to find You!" I want to see God's Power and Glory, not just in the sanctuary, but in the battlefield of my life; I’m desperate for His presence in the midst of my tribulation: my sickness, my financial trouble, in my prison cell. My cry to the Lord is show me Your glory. I want to see His glory as never before! The God that I serve, the God we sing about and worship - that God - I want to KNOW Him, I want to find Him, I want to SEE Him! Not just to sing, not just to worship - I want to SEE His Face, I want to SEE His power, I want to SEE His Hands! That's been my vision, my dream for 70 years - and I want more! And more!

Glory of Heaven

In the Lord's Prayer we are taught to say, 'Hallowed be Thy Name'. What does that mean? I have never understood until my time in prison for Bible smuggling. But it was as if the Lord said to me, "This is where you worship." But HOW could I in the circumstances I was in? I tried to 'praise' God through clenched teeth. Can you imagine?! I was in rebellion, there was no reality. HOW could I praise God in the depths of hell? Suddenly, as I began to say those words, 'Praise the Lord', it was if the roof of the prison opened. I could hear the angel choirs, I heard the music of Heaven, I sensed the glory of Heaven - something happened in that cell. The glory of God came down! It was as if I was transported into Heaven and the glory of God came on me. I leaped up off that stool and began to run around that cell, singing, shouting, "Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee, HOW great Thou art!" The glory of God  filled my soul. Never in a church or prayer meeting have I ever experienced the glory of God, the very presence and power of God - as I did in that hell on earth.

God is your Father! There was a time when I was in prison for Bible smuggling that I couldn't pray anymore. I cried out, "Oh God, if You don't hear me, I'd rather die, because life has no purpose, no meaning if You don't answer me." While I was still saying, "Oh God, I cannot pray anymore", I remembered the words in the Bible (I had no Bible in the prison - it was forbidden) when the disciples had asked Jesus how to pray, and He said, "When You pray say..." - and I began hesitantly to say those words, 'Our Father' - but as I did so, I began to argue, I cannot say 'our', that's plural - I'm alone in here, no family, no friends, no believers, how can I speak in the plural? I have to say MY Father. Suddenly I knew the reality of those words, He is mine - He is my Father!

Prevailing Prayer (Sheltered in the Rock, with Vinesong)

When there is a crisis in our lives our only hope is Christ, our only strategy is prayer. You - we - have to get an answer from God! When Jesus was on the earth, people asked Him direct for what they wanted. - We have to do the same, but through prayer. We have to learn again the power and effectiveness of prayer.

Intercession (Holy You are Holy, with Vinesong)

What does the Bible say the ministry of Jesus is today? According to the Scripture the ongoing ministry of Jesus is to intercede on your behalf. Right now, Jesus is standing before the Father praying for you by name. Jesus is your personal intercessor. 'Jesus is at the right hand of God making intercession for us' (Romans 8:34). The Scripture also teaches, 'In the same way the Spirit also helps us in our weakness; for when we do not know how to pray as we should,the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches our hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.'

Prayer (Releasing Your Power, with Vinesong)

Wrestling with God is a question of learning how to pray. Anyone can 'pray', especially in a crisis. But it takes a real person of faith to get an answer. We must learn to prevail in prayer until the answer comes. In Genesis 32 the Bible days that Jacob wrestled with God all night; at dawn, God turned to Jacob and said, "As a prince you have power with God and with man, and have prevailed!"

Last Great Revival (Fire of Revival, with Vinesong)

We're living in the last days, the days of the return of Christ, the days when we are going to see revival fire bursting upon the Church, poured on the Church, until the Church is going to be living and vibrant and working and believing and moving into spiritual victory - all in the preparation of the glorious return of Jesus. Those days are going to culminate with the sound like a trumpet, and that sound is going to echo from every building, and that trumpet will herald the return of Christ and suddenly in a blaze of Glory sweeping across the sky from the East to the West, Christ is going to take control, bind Satan, cast Him into a prison for 1000 years ... I'm prophesying what the prophets have been prophesying for 2000 years. I believe that this last great revival will begin amongst the Russian speaking peoples, sweep across Europe, and upon this revival, Christ will return, just as Hudson Taylor prophesied in 1889.

Rejoice! Christ is risen (I behold Your Glory, with Vinesong)

Rejoice! Christ is risen, just as He said. Jesus has conquered the last enemy, and that enemy is death. Death has lost its sting, its pain. When Christ rose from the dead He demonstrated there is life after death. Jesus was the first to come to new life, and because He lives, we can live also. To us, Easter is not death but resurrection. If there is one message I want to give you today it is this: stop worrying about your problems, stop being miserable, rejoice!
