God has power, greater than anybody else; I've seen phenomenal miracles in my own life and ministry because of the power of God. The only evidence of the existence of God is through the miraculous: by faith we understand that the world was made, by faith we see miracles of healing. I cannot heal anyone, Jesus is the healer. When I am on crusade I dare to say, 'If what I am preaching is true, that Jesus is the Son of God, who died and rose again, then miracles will happen when you call upon Him.' And each time, the Lord confirms His Word by the signs that follow. I want to challenge you: when you know Him, when you REALLY know His character, as you would know a friend, then you will do exploits (Daniel 11.32).

At the mention of the Name of Jesus, the very presence of God will fill your life, setting you free. The very Name of Jesus brings hope: His Name means salvation and deliverance. His Name is filled with power and glory. Upon hearing His Name, demons have to flee, sickness will be healed. In your biggest crisis, in the time when you feel that your life is at an end, call upon His Name and He will answer you. If only you would believe in Jesus, you would see the biggest miracle of your life.

The Son of God (with Vinesong)

'Jesus asked, "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to Him, "You are the Christ."' (Mark 8.29.) Jesus is not a babe in His mother's arms, nor is He just a prophet or only a good man, as some suggest - He is a God of power, of action, of authority. He's a Man real men can admire and follow! In churches I see images of Jesus as a powerless dead man on a cross. I know Jesus died, but when they put Him in a grave, it couldn't hold Him, the power of the Holy Spirit came into His dead body, He broke open that grave, He came out, He's alive! What kind of man is this? The grave cannot hold Him - the wind and the sea are obedient to Him - no demon spirit in hell can stand against Him - no human can resist Him! That's the kind of God we have!

If you believe God, trust Him until He answers you! When you pray, believe that God will answer, believe for miracles, believe in the power of God. God never fails! I have been serving God for 75 years and my testimony is this, He has never failed me once! If I live another 100 years, God will never fail me! God cannot fail. God answers prayer! No, my life has not been easy, but through it all I've learned to trust Jesus and depend upon His Word. God Himself has said, "I will never fail you, I will never abandon you"; that is why we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid."

I want you to learn how to pray, and when you pray, how to get an answer. Recently I found myself asking the question we all ask, WHY? Why this? Why that? And I was asking, why is it that people pray and don't get an answer? Then it was as if the Lord said to me, "It's because they give up asking". The Scripture teaches: 'Keep on asking and it will be given to you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking reverently and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened' (Matthew 7:7-8, AMPC).

So many people know the Lord's Prayer, they can say the prayer, they can sing it - but they don't know the reality of the words. I want you to read Luke 11, because Jesus did not end with the 'Amen' of the prayer, but actually continued, "Which of you has a friend and shall go to him at midnight and say, 'Friend, lend me three loaves, because a friend of mine has come and I have no food in my house to give him.'" Jesus is talking about prayer! He says, eventually, if you keep knocking, your neighbour will give you what you ask, not because you are friends, but to stop you banging on the door! If I could give you a gift, I would give you this verse from Jeremiah 33:3, 'Call, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things you know not.' I want you to learn to call on God - and He will answer you! Not only will He answer, but the reason I love this verse, and the reason I pray over this verse, is because God says, when He answers, He will show you great and mighty things you don't know; He will open up heaven and show you His glory. "O God, I call unto You, You have promised that You will answer me, and when You answer me, You are going to show me powerful things, something bigger than I can ever dream about."

How to get an answer to prayer (with Vinesong)

Every time I need a miracle in my life I have to fast and pray; I stay up late at night, get up early in the morning; I pray, and I pray, and I pray. And God answers prayer! When I pray I expect an answer. My God is different to any other god in the world, because my God is a prayer answering God! When I was praying over my lung cancer in 2003, one passage was such an encouragement. In Jeremiah 33 God speaks to the prophet: at the time Jeremiah was locked in a prison - He wasn't sitting in luxury watching a televangelist, he was in a prison! - And God says, "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." Look, if you are in a 'prison', if you want a miracle in your life, begin to pray! Cry out to God. Pray without ceasing! 
This verse in Jeremiah should encourage us to pray: not only does God promise to answer our prayers, but He promises that the answer will surprise us, that He will show us things unimaginable! If you need God to work a miracle which is far above what you can imagine, call upon Him, He'll answer you!

The Miracle of Salvation (with Vinesong)

It says in Romans 6:1-3 that we are baptised into Christ's death. Jesus died to get rid of the 'flesh', and He rose again to triumph over the devil, defeat the last enemy, death, and gave us the victory! When you are baptised in water, you are dead! I'm a dead man! When I asked to be baptised in water as a 12 year old boy, I was buried with Christ! And when I came out of the water, I was a newborn baby! I'm in Christ! This is what the Word of God says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, if we are in Christ, we are a new creation! The old things are gone! Gone forever! But you need to have the faith to accept the power of your salvation!

I've been filled with the Holy Spirit and I expect to see the power of God. We have to believe that God can work miracles. But in order to receive we need to spend time alone with Him; in the Bible, throughout Jesus' ministry, He would withdraw to the desert to pray; how much more is this necessary for us. It is only in these times of prayer and worship that we receive His strength. God is our answer; He is our power; God is our strength; He is our hope and deliverer; God is everything!

There is a power in the Word of God that transforms and revolutionises our lives; it is a power to heal the sick, raise the dead and bring new life to a troubled soul. That is why, when we declare the Word of God, miracles happen. It is not us, it's God fulfilling His Word. It is so easy to know what is in the Bible, but then dismiss it. We read it, study it, preach it, 'spiritualise' it, until there is a danger that we make it mean something else. But everything in the Bible can happen today! Don't limit God. I want to challenge you to a new kind of faith. We are commanded to go in and possess all the blessings which God has promised. Get into the Word of God, search for and mark every promise that you want in your life, and then claim them by faith!

The Bible says, 'Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever.' That's the only bit of the Bible I don't agree with. Listen carefully. In my life, the Jesus I know today is not the Jesus I knew when I was first a Christian. The Jesus I know today is a thousand times stronger and more powerful, more wonderful, than the Jesus I knew 70 years ago. The Bible says He's always the same, but to me, the Jesus I know becomes stronger every day, more powerful. Ten times more powerful this year than He was last year. A hundred more times powerful than He was a few years ago. A thousand times more powerful than when I was a young man! So who is right and who is wrong? I've discovered the truth! God doesn't change, I change. The change is this, I know God better!

You shall receive power (Isn't it real, with Vinesong)

'You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you' (Acts 1.8). Our power from God is through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and then through our relationship with God in prayer following that experience. The clear promise is that HIS power would be in US. Also that we would become witnesses. A witness is one who sees something and reports on it. We need to see, experience and witness God's miraculous power in action! Not merely by sitting and waiting, but by making it happen through the power of God. To me, it seems that the older I become the more powerful God is, yet it is not God who changes, but me, He reveals more of His glory as I seek after Him.
