All of us are important to Jesus; you are valuable in His sight. Jesus doesn't look upon your clothes, He doesn't look to see if you have money or prestige; your value to God is not based upon what you have acculated in life; you are valuable to Him because you are His child. In the sight of God nobody is an outcast or a reject. God loves you.

There are many times in our lives when we need to cry out, "help!" And when you do, Jesus is there listening to your cry. The Bible says Jesus hears every cry from your heart: when you are in pain, when you are in difficulty, if you will cry out, "Jesus help me", He will answer you; even if it is a silent cry from your heart, God hears.

We all want to receive God's blessing in our lives. So often we read in the Gospels how Jesus would visit people's homes; He would fellowship with them, taking time to understand the needs of the people around Him. It is the same in our lives today. Just as Jesus related to ordinary people as His friends, so He wants to be your friend too. He's concerned about you.

Seven times King and Parliament called the United Kingdom to prayer during WWII. Seven times the whole nation turned out and filled the churches, including those who had not been to church in years and those who had never been. Each time God answered by a remarkable miracle of deliverance.

God can change this nation through prayer, but we must prevail until God answers. The Bible teaches, 'if My people...' - that is you and I as believers; God is not talking about the sinner here, He says, 'if My people will humble themselves and pray... I will heal their land.'

Are you so full of pain and sickness that you are deaf to the voice of Jesus; are you unable to hear when He is talking to you. Jesus loves you - He wants to heal you, but first He wants to forgive you and set you free from the hurts of the past. I want you to believe, to trust Jesus. I want you to be free from every emotional and physical pain. But first you need to learn how to talk to Him.

How difficult it is to really believe; to take Jesus at His Word often requires a faith beyond our abililty to believe. I believe in prayer and in a God of miracles, but when I was diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2002, I was faced with a challenge: do I really believe God or not?

You are never lost to Jesus; we might not be able to see Him because of the darkness surrounding us, but He knows exactly where we are. For so long, it was like there was a distance, as if we were separated. But now Jesus is so close, so near, you can talk to Him at any time. For so many people Jesus is some distant person; God Himself is distant and unapproachable. If I were to ask you, 'Where is God', some would say, 'To find God I would have to go to church', some would respond, 'God, He's up there'. But where is 'there'? I've got good news for you today, Jesus is called 'Emmanuel, God with us' - wherever you find yourself in life, God is there with you.

There is no limit to what God can do when you trust Him. If you let the power of God touch you, by a miracle He will change your life. You need the touch and power of God. But first you have to trust Him. You have to believe He can work the miracle. The Gospel is the power of God to change lives. God can touch you, He can change your life.

I can tell you how close Jesus is to you: just breathe in, Jesus is as close as the air that fills your lungs. One prayer and He is always there with you. How can we touch Him? It is not a physical touch. You touch Him when you call His Name, when you talk to Him. Reach out to Him today. One word from Jesus can calm the storm, heal your broken heart. Jesus says to you today, 'Come unto Me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.'

Why are you afraid? God is in control! When Jesus is in the boat with you, even if He is asleep, it doesn't matter the severity of the storm, one word from Jesus and all will be well. All will be well with your family, health, finances, employment. Jesus will speak peace into every tumultuous situation. I believe the challenge to every one of us today is, why are you afraid? The hardest thing in your life and mine, when you are in the midst of a crisis, is to see Jesus. Because of the darkness surrounding you, God can seem distant, it prevents you from seeing Him. Wherever, whenever there is a crisis, a tragedy, sickness, sin, fear or pain, Jesus is there.
